Beach Retreat Tidbits and FYI’s
Friday Night
Dance and Game Night starts right after the ice breaker/opening at 7PM.
We encourage you to bring your favorite dance music (we have a karaoke machine that plays CD’s CDG’s and hooks up to your cell phone),
games, puzzles and coloring books.
Saturday Night – Entertainment
Fashion Show
– strut your stuff, feeling good in the skin you’re in.
Talent Show
– we encourage you to show off your talents, whether it is by singing, dancing, telling jokes, painting or other activities.
Bring something to help showcase your talents!
We have a karaoke machine and are not afraid to use it! There will be a couple of practice times scheduled on Saturday; for you to utilize as well.

Beach Retreat Events
Costume/UGLY Sweater Contest
This years’ costume/ugly sweater contest is themed “Things you would see at the Sea/Beach”
It started out as an ugly sweater contest but quickly turned into a T-Shirt, Sweatshirt, Sweater, Hat or Costume?? Have fun with it!
Raffle Baskets
Our retreat has been raffling baskets for years, these are all donated baskets or items used for the baskets. What the cool part is is not only does someone go home with a basket, those same tickets get pooled into one container and depending on the money raised by the raffles, this turns into a free retreat for next year. The last two years we have been able to send 2 winners, to the next years’ retreat. That covers the registration and a double occupancy Beach Front room (meaning we will deposit the first nights stay and you either pay the 2nd night or get a roommate to cover the 2nd night stay).
We have someone that will take the baskets and/or other donated items and make baskets out of them. Recovery items, gift cards, journals, literature, etc are suggested but not limited to. One year someone donated live plants, they were beautiful and well received.
Please consider donating an item or basket and purchasing tickets, if you can.
Clothes Swap
This year we will be having a clothes swap. Bring your freshly laundered/ready to wear items to donate.
This will be a bring something/take something or make a monetary donation.
We love it when someone finds something in the clothes swap and wears it in the fashion show!
The left over items from the clothes swap will be donated to a local mission after the retreat, so it will go back to help others.
Items that we could use….
Magazines – if you have any old magazines, we could use them for a workshop this year.
Clothes hangers are also needed.
A great service opportunity!!!
